The history of "Chizhyk-Pyzhyk" Russian folk saying originates from 1835 when the Duke Peter of Oldenburg decided to found the high school of law which was based in a building number 6 on the left Fontanka river bank in Saint-Petersbur Students of this institution have a special drees code-yellow-green suits and hats made from "pyzhik"(leather from deer). Because of this, people started to call future lawyers "Chizhyks-Pyzhyks". After classes these students usually went to nearest restaurant,or, "traktir",in Russian, so, someone create a funny rhyme:
«Chizhik-Pyzhik, where have you been? on Fontanka drunking vodka»
Nowadays this famous rhyme has more than 200 years and well-known far beyond Saint-Petersburg.
